If you like hiking, biking, jogging or just plain strolling, the 22 mile North County Trailway traverses Mahopac and connects with the Putnam County Trailway and Westchester county.
Commuter Trains and Routes to New York City
Mahopac is just 45 minutes north of the Bronx, 50 minutes to New York City and 30 minutes to White Plains New York. Mahopac homes are convenient for commuters whether you prefer to drive via Route 6, the Taconic State Parkway or take Metro North Train at Croton Falls. The Croton Falls train goes into Grand Central Station along the Harlem Line with a commute time of about 75 minutes. The Croton Falls Shuttle bus (CFS) takes commuters from Mahopac to the Train.
